Richard Spithoven is the EMEA Lead for Publisher Advisory Services at SoftwareOne. In his previous role, Richard was one of the managing partners at B-lay, strategically acquired by SoftwareOne in July 2020. Richard started to work in the license management industry in 2004 and worked for almost 10 years at Oracle Corporation as Regional Director for its License Management Services department within EMEA South, the authority on Oracle’s licensing policies and business practices. Richard uses his knowledge of enterprise software publishers to educate, equip and enable software end users in their challenges regarding proper software license management. In his role as ‘trusted advisor’ of many CIOs and CFOs he has been participating in the EuroCIO.org platform and is requested as a regular speaker at the annual events of the IT Asset Management (ITAM) Review and International Association for IT Asset Management (IAITAM) in North America, Australia and Europe. Richard holds a master’s degree in IT, from University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
